Is there a way to create a custom report of all men in a database born within the years of selective WWI draft? I believe it would be from 1873-1896.

You could use the "Who Was There List" - select your time frame and place (United States)
Under "People to include" >"Select from a list".
Click on Mark Group>Select People by Data Fields - Sex - is Male.

After 1873 Before 1896

My solution

Make a Custom Report

Name, After 1873 and Before 1893
Then use 1st Field Sir Name Given, 2nd Field Birth Date
Hit Ok

Select from list

Mark Group

Select people by Data Field

Sex is Male
and 1st field Birth, 2nd Field = Is After, 3rd field=1873
and 1st field Birth, 2nd Field = Is Before, 3rd field=1896

This worked on my File just fine.

On the Who Was There report, I also unmarked some people.

Unmark:
Birth date is before 1873
OR Death date is before 1917
OR Military exists is True

I unmarked Military as that is the fact I use to record the drafts and I only wanted a report for men I hadn't researched the draft for yet.

The following was overheard at a recent high society party...
"My ancestry goes all the way back to Alexander the Great," said one lady. She then turned to a second woman and asked, "How far does your family go back?"
"I don't know," was the reply. "All of our records were lost in the flood."
