Is it possible to transfer my Roots Magic files from my ailingt Windows PC to my new Mac? If so, can someone suggest how I do this? TIA

I'm not a Mac user, but there are several threads on this forum discussing the use of emulation software (Parallels, Crossover, and other program names are what you're looking for). That will let you run RM on your Mac, using the same data files *.rmgc and *.rmgb. Of course, MAKE SURE YOU DO A BACKUP before you make the actual file transfer from PC to Mac. - And good luck !! My friends who use Macs are quite happy with them.....

I use Wineskin Winery and it worked great for RM5. It tends to show the weak spots in RM6 however and we are beginning to address those issues.

WineSkin is not an emulation program, so RM6 runs much better than if it were running under Win7 on a Mac or using Fusion or Parallels. Try it by following the directions presented here - Drew Withers has done an excellent job getting it to play nice on the Mac -
