date format in list report

Date format descendant list

I have the Date Format set to 10 Jan 1999 in the File Options. Yet when I generate a PDF Descendant List report the dates show up as 10 January 1999. I see no way of making this report conform to my database wishes, and, in my opinion, it should not be set differently in the report. I have only checked the Descendant report and PDF format.
