I have just been watching the webinar about rootsmagic 6, and i noticed in the demo tree they were using they have coloured each individual branch of the tree.

How do i do it?

If you want each branch a different color, then you would have to do each branch separately.

For instance, color yourself and all your ancestors red.
Color your father and all his ancestors blue
Color your paternal grandmother and all her ancestors green
Color your maternal grandfather maroon
That would color four lines if you want more, you would have go to one of each pair of g-grandparents and color their ancestors differently.

. . .For instance, color yourself and all your ancestors red.
Color your father and all his ancestors blue
Color your paternal grandmother and all her ancestors green
Color your maternal grandfather maroon. . .

Wouldn't that leave just yourself red and just your father blue, etc?

Good real estate may be based on location, location, location;
but
good sources are based on citation, citation, citation!

I assumed from the signature that Roz was female.
Coloring yourself and your ancestors red (for Pink for girls) makes all your ancestors red.
Coloring your father and his ancestors blue leaves you and your mothers ancestors red and your father's blue
Coloring your paternal grandmother and her ancestors green leaves everyone but her ancestors as they were and makes her's green (close enough to blue for paternal?)
Coloring your mothers father and his ancestors maroon leaves you with four lines of different colors.
(I forgot to say 'your maternal grandfather and his ancestors' in the first post.)

Roz will be red, along with her mother her maternal grandmother and all her ancestors.
Her father will be blue along with his father and all his ancestors.
Her paternal grandmother and her ancestors will be green
Her maternal grandfather and all his ancestors will be maroon.

Anyone else in the database will be the original color.
