The family tree view in RootsMagic could be enhanced by three distinctiver markers (perhaps shading the three different kinds of fields in three different colors, probably pastels with the words "yDNA", "mtDNA", or "autosomal" in small print) along the exclusively paternal ancestor yDNA line (father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and so on all along the father's side); the exclusively maternal ancestor mtDNA line (mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and so on all along the mother's side; and the mixture of Autosomal ancestors in between which mixtures of all kinds and are simply not either of the two above.

"could be enhanced" but it eludes me as to what end. What question do you want answered? Who in the database is the root person from which the DNA types should be calculated?
