Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, although have been using Roots4 for a couple of years, but not the reports..... apologies if this question is in the wrong place - please feel free to point me in the right direction if needs be!

I am creating a Relationship chart where my 'Head / Top person' has been married twice, however the report is not bringing up either marriage. Is this normal or is there a way round this?

I have tried to save it as a text file in Word and manually amend it but I am not very good with text boxes!

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks......

The proper forum would be the Discussion or Issues one under RootsMagic 4 here.

Is your problem that the box of the person on the chart does not include a marriage date? The person must have an assigned marriage fact and the chart settings must have the box Include Marriage Date checked.

The relationship chart only shows blood relationships.
It wouldn't show a spouse unless they were cousins or something.

There is a report which will show spouses, although it is rather long.

Thank you for both replies...

I have since realised probably why it is doing it.

The top person married twice, so therefore the children are in fact half siblings and ultimately half first cousins, therefore it doesn't show both spouses with marriages. I guess there is no way round this?!

OK, now I know what you were asking about.

The mutual connection did not show either spouse because they were not ancestors common to both people.

Alfred you made that sound so much better than my explanation did, thanks....

Yes that was what I was trying to say and I guess there is no way round it?!

But previous versions [maybe V3] explicitly listed half cousins.
