RootsMagic has been an awarding experience while searching through my family history. I also use http://www.genealogybank.com/ to help fill in the gaps. Hope this helps others who still have holes in their research.

How does that compare for subscription prices to other sites?

Good real estate may be based on location, location, location;
but
good sources are based on citation, citation, citation!

I used genealogybank.com for a year at $49.00. Did not have the newspapers for the states [KY and IA] that I was looking for and did not find much. Decided it was not worth the money for me. the last ad I got was for $5 a month. or $60 a year. out of my price range.

Hard to know what states are in there and I see there is now a trial period. They do a lot of advertising and now have a newer look to the website... Each to his own...

Genealogy:
"I work on genealogy only on days that end in "Y"." [Grin!!!]
from www.GenealogyDaily.com.
"Documentation....The hardest part of genealogy"
"Genealogy is like Hide & Seek: They Hide & I Seek!"
" Genealogists: People helping people.....that's what it's all about!"
from http://www.rootsweb....nry/gentags.htm
Using FO and RM since FO2.0
