The project to bundle SQLite queries and other utilities into a user-friendly application is starting and needs a name. You can offer your suggestions and vote on a number of others by visiting Bundled Utilities Project Name. Later, after the basics are working, we'll seek your input for additional utilities you would like to see. Of course, if you have any programming skills, you may get earlier action by joining the team!

Would something like RootsMagic utilities be too simple?

It might imply an official connection !

We are all limited by our visions and abilities

Whilst we can borrow from the visions of others we cannot always deliver.

These are rich! Keep 'em coming. And don't forget you can do a write-in vote in the poll - it's not restricted to the 10 I initially proferred.

I love acronyms, too. How about:

SQUIRM: SQlite Utility Interface for RootsMagic

HARM: Holden's Add-on for RootsMagic (ok, that's kind of proprietary)

WARM: Wizard Additions for RM

SideARM: Side Additions for RM (like Kev's ExtendaRM)

RM-aids, 4RM-aid, RM-assist, RM-ass (oops)

C#HARM: C-sharp Helper Addon for RM

Because I have a musical interest I like "C#HARM

1) I can C what I'm doing without a lot of trouble.
2) RM users are CHARMINGly helpful :) when we're at the brick wall  or have some other question. :)

Good real estate may be based on location, location, location;
but
good sources are based on citation, citation, citation!

Whatever you call it, you will need to link back by name, reference, or hyperlink to Roots Magic, which still tends to imply an official endorsement. SO why not just ask them for an official endorsement, and then give it a direct name. Helps it sell better.

In that case, call it RootsMagic Go-Rogue Utilities

Urban slang: go rogue - "to act on one's own, usually against expectation or instruction. To pursue one's own interests."
